Moema Apartment: São Paulo, Brazil.

PROJECT DETAILS

A couple and a young daughter needed to decorate their 400m² apartment recently remodeled, in São Paulo, Brazil. The family desired a classic environment, in light colors. To update the style required, contemporary furniture mixes harmoniously with classic design: In the living room, a geometrical rug elegantly counterpoints the antique chair and guerridon the clean design couch and armchair highlight the classic dresser with murano table lamp. Very contemporary, Macassar Ebony side tables get sophisticated in glossy finish. Silk curtains warm up the room, while fabrics with different textures were combined to enrich the result, since the color palette requested was so neutral. At the dining room, the table with its minimalist lines, contrasts with Louis XVI carved gilt wood and white marble sideboard. From the same period, the chairs were refreshed by golden stripes silk. The home theater is a functional space: Confortable L shaped couch and linen stool with stainless steel base in a darker shade as the curtain shawl. To avoid blocking the terrace great city views, a Travertine marble side table.  The master bedroom has a stronger classic touch, with capitone suede headboard, mirror nightstand and dressing table, antique Louis XV chair and day bed. The girl’s room is princess like, as the young girl desired, the romantic dossel bed, with delicatefabrics composition and a rose flowers wallpaper as background. The guest room remains neutral, in light beige shades, mixing leather and stainless steel nightstand, lacquered desk and upholstered linen headboard.
